All pet rats will be rehomed with an adoption certificate and a small amount of Mazuri brand rat pellets to ensure an easy dietary transition.

Filling out an adoption application form will sign you up to be notified of upcoming rats and get first pick of the litter once approved. If you have already been approved and are interested in one of our available rats, please contact us for reservation.

Rats shown as available on our website are not open for public reservation. All reservations are handled exclusively through our waitlist. To be added, you must submit an application and be approved. When availability opens, we contact adopters in waitlist order and offer each person the opportunity to reserve before moving on to the next.

Current Naming Theme: Moths & Butterflies

Naming rats is never easy, but it’s an important part of our record keeping and lineage tracking. To stay organized, we use themed naming systems for each group. Our current theme is butterflies and moths, so the names you see right now are inspired by real species. For example, the rat named Isabella takes her name from the Isabella tiger moth.

While we use these names internally, you’re always welcome to change your rat’s name at any time, as these rats are too young to recognize these names as personal identifiers.

Sometimes the names are a little unusual, but they’re chosen with intention and care, just like the rest of the details that go into raising and placing our rats.
